Prop 8 - Say Yes
I am so concerned about marriage being defined as between something other than being between a man and a woman. I am very upset that judges in California are illegally casting aside the voice of the people who already declared through a valid vote that they wanted marriage to be defined as being between a man and a woman. Judges cannot cast aside the voice of the people and legislate from the bench. It is constitutionally forbidden. Who is taking these judges to task for their criminal behavior? I am appalled by the consequences happening in Massachusetts as they have recognized gay marriage under the state constitution. The Court of Appeals ruled that parents cannot prohibit schools from promoting homosexuality - or opt their children out of such instruction. Parents can't even be notified ahead of time that the instruction will take place. Some activists are petitioning judges to force schools to teach children about gay marriage. What this comes down to in the end is that we will not be able to speak of gay marriage in any derogotory way without it being seen (and sometimes prosecuted) as discrimination. Please see uppermost quote on the right.

I agree completely. I am getting quite tired of liberal Hollywood telling the rest of the world what is "right." California has become infectious in my opinion. Many there, especially in the tv/movie industry think that just because they want something to be right, they can convince the rest of us, whether or not it will lead to the deterioration of our lives and society. I sincerely hope Prop 8 does not pass.
Sorry, I meant to say, I hope Prop 8 does pass (that gay marriage does not remain legal).
Who are you, jm? Do I know you? E-mail me if you want to remain anonymous.
Prop 8 passing was the ONLY bright spot of my night last night! It gives me hope that there are still some sane people in the world!
Hey Woman! I am finding out interesting things and views from the LDS population. I feel like I am being b----slapped by people who are soooooo upset that the church took a stand against it! Wow! What do people think the church should do?
I just keep thinking about the scripture of "whats right will be wrong and whats wrong will be right"- how scary to see it come to past, and to be so strong amongst the members of the church! I am really beginning to understand the whole idea of clinging to my religion!
